  2. regarding RAC vm templates,
do you think is it possible to upgrade existing virtual machines using deletenode.sh for old virtual machines and addnode.sh for new?

    • Vasily,
I don’t think that you will be able to upgrade existing 11.2 RAC using RAC vm templates
especially in the case of CRS upgrade
actually, deletenode.sh(and addnode.sh) operates at the level of Existing Cluster
so addnode.sh will extend your 11.2.0.3 to virtual machine from vm template
and you will have one more node in your 11.2.0.3 cluster.
I think you have to use CRS rolling upgrade – one node at once will be down
