Fixing OEM security certificate issues in local Browser(IE)

Just after every installation of OEM Grid Control/Database Control and while accessing Console you will see next message:

There is a problem with this website’s security certificate.

The security certificate presented by this website was not issued by a trusted certificate authority.

Security certificate problems may indicate an attempt to fool you or intercept any data you send to the server.

We recommend that you close this webpage and do not continue to this website.

OEM GC Install: Specified Oracle Middleware Home is not installed in this host

During installation of OEM GC 11.1 You may face the next situation:
installation of OEM GC cannot continue because of next message:

ORACLE_MIDDLEWARE_HOME_LOCATION: Specified Oracle Middleware Home is not installed in this host

My Oracle Support portal has next NOTE with suggestions how to solve this issue:
1139796.1 11g Grid Control installation is failed with “Specified Oracle Middleware Home is not installed in this host” in OUI

1. WLS 10.3.2 is installed on 64 bit without the option “java -d64”
2. Installed incorrect Weblogic version – other than 10.3.2
3. Installed Weblogic Server using the JDK version older than JDK 1.6 update 18
4. /etc/hosts file is not in recommended format.

Actually, most problems come from issues with /etc/hosts, like hostname not in /etc/hosts or some other formatting issues,

but recently I have faced even more strange situation:

/etc/hosts was formatted like this one:

ip-address host-name

because OEM GC 11.1 uses OUI, you may check log files for errors in oraInventory/logs
